Where: Latin / North America

When: 2016

Places I Visited: Cancun, Tulum, Coba, Playa Del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, Chichen Itza, Mexico City

I was staying mostly in Cancun for a place to settle, work and party. Mezcal Hostel was awesome and great spot to stay. Partying the local and commercial nights were great.

Chichen Itza is an amazing world wonder and that was definitely a highlight of my trip. I wish I only spent longer!

Isla Mujeres was pretty and the beach was awesome! Scuba diving the underwater museum was exciting too!

Cancun is cheaper than everyone thinks and Mezcal offer two meals a day, which cuts the costs. Taco’s are on every street corner for as cheap as 50p per Taco

Chichen Itza is really worth seeing and history behind it is amazing.

Isla Mujeres is a great place to visit. It has scuba diving, turquoise waters and hot beach. You can have a holiday from the holiday here.

Mexico City is so big and busy! A great city but is difficult to get to know especially if only staying for a short time.

What to know

It’s cheaper to fly into Cancun than anywhere else in the UK, especially through Thomas Cook, Manchester.

Mexico street food is cheap and so is beer compared to the Euro pound and dollars (AUS, NZ, CAD, US)

The Yucatan area where I visited is generally safe as there is a lot of tourists there but the other sides of Mexico are known to be more dangerous.
